Positive: I loved how peaceful the place was and how helpful the staff were! The location is right on the water which made it perfect if you want to go on a boat tour or to see the Shoebills

Negative: I found the dinner to be very expensive for what it was and they did not say the cost up front which was a dissapointment

Positive: We spent 4 nights here before our tour. It is a beautiful location with quick access to the Shoebill birds. The hotel arranged a boat transfer & airport pick up for us. They also arranged a village tour, walking bird tour and a sunset boat tour for us, all of which were fabulous, and the local guides were incredible. The pool and rooms are so nice! Staff are fantastic. Highly recommended!!

Positive: Beautiful property and excellent location to see the shoebill! Beds were comfortable and the staff was great. Loved the outdoor patio for meals and watching the monkeys jump overhead in the trees. Don't miss out on the local community tours and the wonderful guides who offer them!

Positive: Wonderful staff looked after us and made our stay a delight. The resort is on the edge of Lake Victoria and set in lush vegetation. The food is delicious and the pool is fantastic. Rooms are eclectic, comfortable, and clean. Loved our stay here. The Mabamba wetlands are less than a kilometre away, and the resort organised an excellent local guide, Brian, and a boat to take us there to see the shoebills. Birdwatching heaven!, The short road to the resort is dirt and can be affected by rain.

Positive: Exceptional food and staff. Perfect location for the shoebill tours - the lodge is lakefront and has its own boat for a guide to take you. Great room, amazing pool and birdlife at the lodge itself. We loved our stay - John (chef) and Joanne our amazing host went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and were well fed with healthy and delicious food. Staff were always on hand helping us at our crazy arrival and departure times. We hope to come back again to stay at the lodge and see the beautiful shoebill once more.

Negative: Very very Bumpy dirt road from entebbe to the lodge (2hrs) - The lodge arranged a boat transfer to entebbe, then taxi to the airport on our return and this was fantastic ! We wish we had done that to get there.- our hot tip! The bed was too firm for us, shower water pressure and hot water could be better. But these are minor things that can easily be fixed.

Positive: The food was good. However, that evening I got seriously ill with a bacterial intestinal infection, and had to medically treat myself when I arrived in Nairobi Kenya.

Negative: You need a backup system for hot water. Traveling all evening, then arriving after a long drive, being tired, and wanting to take a hot bath, I found myself feeling ill, shortly after eating a well prepared curried dish, with no hot water to bath in. Based on the price of your facility was not acceptable. The hotel attendant informed me that the hot water was solar powered, and it had been cloudy all day. They were accomodating, and boiled water and poured it in the bath tub, and had a partially full hot bath. Being informed that the road is a 2 1/2 drive ahead of time, and ferry was free, and is a shorter distance would also have been nice to know ahead of time.
